The Midwest Isotope and Trace Element Research Analytical Center (MITERAC) is a National Science Foundation-funded facility that represents a Notre Dame-led consortium of Midwestern universities, including Ball State University, Indiana State University, Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis, Indiana University-South Bend, and Western Michigan University. MITERAC specializes in the elemental and isotopic characterization of environmental, biological, and geological materials, both at the bulk sample and micrometer scales. MITERAC is open to users from the University of Notre Dame.
